Iwan Setiawan, PhD
Iwan Setiawan, born in 1968, is the President Director of Rakhara Chemical Technology. He completed his academic journey focused on chemistry at the University of Tasmania, where he earned a bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree, and ultimately a PhD, all supported by a full scholarship.
Iwan began his career at a multinational company specializing in water treatment chemicals as a Product Manager for the Asia-Pacific region. In 1998, he founded PT Siskem Aneka Indonesia, a specialty chemistry company focused on water treatment, which later won the Enterprise 50 Award in 2001 and 2002. He further expanded his entrepreneurial ventures by establishing Rakhara Chemical Technology in 2011 to meet the growing demand for specialty chemicals, especially in the water treatment and oil and gas industries.

Ir. Sutardi
Sutardi, born in 1966, is the Director of Rakhara Chemical Technology. After graduating from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1991, he joined a prominent Japanese specialty chemicals company as a researcher — production division. From then, he honed his expertise in surfactant study and manufacture.
Alongside Iwan, he founded PT Siskem Aneka Indonesia and served as Director of Production. In 2009, he founded PT Sogatama Tekno Kemi, a specialty chemical company focused on the textile and paper industries. He then joined PT Rakhara Chemical Technology in 2011, with surfactant-related projects as his main focus.
